It’s getting really good now.
Golf got its start this past week, so we’re, now, fully into the spring high school sports season and it is glorious. Washington County student-athletes appear to be stepping up their game and delivering highlights, too.
Don’t believe me? Read the following results.
Brady Brown, Blair baseball: The Bears have won three straight games and the junior outfielder is a big reason why. He notched eight RBIs Thursday, Friday and Saturday as BHS topped Waverly, Norris and Hastings. Brown struck out two Tigers in a relief pitching appearance, too.
Dana Drowne, Fort Calhoun track: The senior Pioneer was second in the Platteview Invite’s high jump, clearing 5 feet, while also claiming fifth in the 200-meter dash. Her 1,600 relay team took fourth, too.
Tim Halley, Arlington baseball: The AHS ballplayer came up big in a big moment. His ninth-inning two-run homer beat Fort Calhoun in extra innings. The Eagles improved to 3-3 on his first-career long ball.
Now, please do me a favor. Congratulate these Nannen & Harte Physical Therapy Athletes of the Week when you see them and keeping checking out Washington County high school sports coverage in our newspapers and here at enterprisepub.com/sports. Thank you.
