Friday Football Update: Pioneers win on 1-2 night for Washington County

The Arlington, Blair and Fort Calhoun football teams were in action Friday night, combining for a 1-2 record with the Pioneers picking up the victory.

Fort Calhoun 47, Pierce 14: Coach Zach Byrd’s team improved to 3-1 with a dominant road win. Adam Elofson threw touchdown passes to Eli Tinkham, Blake Welchert and Kade Foy. The quarterback also ran for a score, while Kaiden Rodriguez added three rushing touchdowns.

Norris 41, Blair 14: The Bears dropped to 2-2 at the end of a 27-point game they trailed by just eight at halftime. Brock Templar scored his 13th touchdown of the season on a 78-yard fumble return, while Blaise Baughman caught a 57-yard scoring pass from Andrew Smutny.

Norfolk Catholic 52, Arlington 19: The Eagles are 1-3 after a home loss to the highly-rated Knights. AHS actually scored first, though, when Owen Ladehoff carried the ball into the end zone on a quarterback sneak.
