AHS basketball teams sweep Tekamah-Herman doubleheader

Arlington freshman basketball player Macy Wolf scored from inside the arc and out during the opening minutes of Saturday's game at Tekamah-Herman.
No. 4 was just getting started.
Wolf finished with a game-high 20 points as the Eagles earned a 59-47 road win. The 5-foot-11 ninth-grader made three 3-pointers for the game and eight field goals total.
The standout's effort helped coach Luke Brenn's squad move to 3-2 this season. Taylor Arp, a junior post player, added 17 points, while point guard Emme Timm had nine.
Arlington's Austyn Flesner and Britt Nielsen added five points apiece, too.
Preslee Hansen, meanwhile, scored 17 in defeat for the Tigers. They fell to 2-4 with the 12-point loss.

AHS boys win by 19
Sophomore Trent Koger set a new career high Saturday, tallying 28 points during the Arlington boys basketball team's 67-48 win at Tekamah-Herman.
The 6-foot-6 post player made a 3-pointer and was 5-for-5 from the foul line as coach Tyler Spitser's squad improved to 2-4 this season.
Kieryn Grothe added 12 points for AHS, while Darren Olson scored 11 and Weston Wollberg had nine in the win.
Brody Rogers and Griffin Breckenridge both led the host Tigers in defeat, scoring 11 points apiece. Tekamah is 0-6 this season.
