Blair High School senior Mackenzie Storjohann earned 10th Oct. 2 as the Bears played 18 holes in Lincoln during the Eastern Midlands Conference Championships.
Coach Rachel Brown's top golfer at Holmes Golf Course finished with 96 strokes. Storjohann took 50 swings on the front nine holes and 46 on the back.
Altogether, BHS finished 10th out of 11 teams during the conference tournament. Tessa Nicholson added 111 swings across 18 holes, while Quinn Thompson had 135 and Madison Hiles took 138. Kaiya Johnson shot a 151, too.
Ellie Henn of Gretna East, meanwhile, earned top honors with just 79 strokes. Her team was first with 366 swings total.
Bears win in Oakland
Three Bears medaled individually Saturday, earning first as a team during the Oakland-Craig Invitational with 430 strokes.
Nicholson shot the team low, notching 99 strokes across 18 holes for third, while Macy Schrad was fifth with a 105. Strojohann earned eighth with 109 swings, too, while Diane Mitchell and Sophie Kern each shot 117s.
Ally Meyer, meanwhile, led the Arlington Eagles with 127 strokes in Oakland. Aspen Sputz added 130, Bella Wilcox totaled 132 and Honora Andreasen had 135. Addie Thomas carded 143 swings, too.
While Blair was scheduled to compete in a district tournament Monday in York, AHS competes today back in Oakland. The first tee time is at 9 a.m.
