Weather on Monday and Tuesday put Arlington Legion baseball's run in the Ralph Bishop League (RBL) Tournament on pause.
Prior to the break, though, both Post 71 teams earned first-round victories.

Seniors win tourney opener
The Arlington Seniors bested Wisner-Pilger/Dodge-Howells 3-0 to start RBL Tourney play Sunday at the Washington County Fairgrounds. Tyler Ott excelled during the victory, producing the pitching win and hitting a double from next to the plate.
“Tyler Ott threw well,” coach TJ Stosich said. “Attacked hitters.”
Andy Misfeldt produced an extra-base hit as well — a double — as Arlington earned its seventh win of the season. It couldn't go for its eighth on Tuesday, however, due to rain in Columbus where its second-round game was set to be played.
Post 71's game with Lakeview was rescheduled for Wednesday, but the RBL tourney continues 8 p.m. today with Senior semifinals matchups. The game's location was to be announced as of press time.
On Saturday, however, the title game is set for Wisner at 6:30 p.m.

Juniors game pushed back
After an opening round victory Saturday at West Point against W-P/D-H, the Arlington Juniors' second-round game was postponed Monday. Post 71 was scheduled to face Columbus Lakeview then, but it was switched to a Wednesday night game due to weather concerns.
The RBL Junior tournament semifinals are scheduled for today at 5:30 p.m. before the 4 p.m. finals Saturday in Wisner.
