The Post 71 Eagles led 1-0 on the road before the home squad took a 2-1 advantage during the bottom of the fourth inning. From there, Arlington earned a 3-2 with two runs in the fifth before Lakeview ultimately took the last lead during the bottom half.
Blaine Vogt led the Eagles at the plate, contributing to all three runs. He was first hit by a pitch with the bases loaded during the third inning before providing a two-run double during the fifth.
Tyler Ott, meanwhile, took the pitching loss despite “a solid six innings,” according to Post 71 coach TJ Stosich.
Arlington next plays 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in Tekamah. The Eagles compete there against Wakefield. It then travels to Hartington on Friday for an 8 p.m. matchup.
