The Blair Swim Team hosted its first of two meets July 10, finishing third behind first-place Hartington and the runner-up North Bend Sharks.
Arlington, meanwhile, took sixth.
Coached by Ayden Dick, eight Blair swimmers earned first-place finishes. Briella Kastrup, 10, led the way with wins in the 100-meter IM, the 100 medley relay, the 25 backstroke, the 25 breaststroke and the 100 freestyle relay.
Hadley Leehy, Cooper, Norine and Reiland Mullally also contributed to those relay victories, while Norine earned first in his 25-meter breaststroke race, too.
A second Blair relay squad — a 100 freestyle one — earned an event win in its age group as well. Malachi Chrans, Cody Lyons, Tage Jackson and Remington Cole swam that race.
In addition to the first-place results, Blair's Berkley Boerma, Remington, Winnie Petersen, Chrans, Jackson Norine, Axel Dick, Connor Leehy, Savannah Andrews, Cooper Norine, Conner Leehy, Hadley Leehy, Chrans and Kastrup secured runner-up finishes as well.
Dominic Morrison and Brileigh Elliott, meanwhile, led Arlington at the Blair Municipal Pool. Morrison, 13, won his 50-meter butterfly race, while Elliott, 8, took first in her 25 breaststroke competition.
Arlington's Miranda Morrison, Alex Blake, Dominic Morrison, Elliott, Conner Peters, Abbie Schakat and Bradyn Peters claimed second-place results during the regular season meet, too.
Members of the Fremont Area Swim Team also attended the July 10 event in Blair. It took fifth, while Washington County swimmers on the team notched multiple individual and relay victories.
Kerrigan Johannes of Arlington won the 100 IM, 50 butterfly, 50 breaststroke, 50 freestyle, 200 medley relay and the 200 freestyle relay.
Hannah Huenink, however, earned first in the 50 backstroke, the 200 medley relay and the 200 freestyle relay.
Blair hosts another swim meet Saturday. Arlington will be in attendance, too, as swimmers compete for conference supremacy.
