Boys and girls will determine their Nebraska state wrestling champions on different days beginning next spring.
The NSAA recently announced a new 5-year contract with the CHI Health Center in Omaha for what will now be five-straight days of state wrestling competition each year. In 2025, the NSAA Girls State Wrestling Championships will be Feb. 18-19 before the boys compete Feb. 20-22.
“Additionally, girls wrestling will no longer have a sub-district round, and girls’ districts will be held on the same weekend as boys districts,” an NSAA release stated. “Girls wrestling will have two classes, starting next year.”
Finals for both the boys and girls tournaments will be broadcast by Nebraska Public Media.
