The Blair and Arlington youth summer swim teams recently began their respective practices in preparation for the 2024 season.
Both squads opened last week with meets still ahead. Blair coach Ayden Dick said her team opens its campaign Saturday in Wayne, while the Arlington schedule begins with a June 20 event at North Bend.
The Arlington schedule continues with a West Point meet June 22 before a competition in Tekamah on June 25. The team swims in Wahoo on July 2, at Dodge on July 13 and during the conference championships at Blair Municipal Pool on July 20.
Blair also, tentatively, hosts a meet July 10 as apart of its schedule. Dick said her team is practicing during mornings throughout the week to get ready for a full season in the pool.
